                                                                       DREAMS TO ACHIEVE 

 Everyone lives in the world to achieve something in their life. And we may call it as "DREAMS". There is a dream inside everyone. Some people conquer it through hardships, some save it as an ultimate goal and some neglect it as just a wish. As  Dr. A.P.J.Abdul kalam sir has said ; "Dream is not what you see in sleep; dream is something that never let you sleep". Let's try not to neglect our dreams just in sleep, ignite it!! and one day that dream will tell you who you are!

WEEKLY REFLECTION ( DEC 3 - DEC 10)

I dealt with various topics during the week such as phrasal verbs, making of a poster, notice making and a small role play based on the topic " The Nightingale and the rose". i used charts for dealing the topic phrasal verbs. students got interest to grasp the various types of phrasal verbs. For the class based on poster, a few posters were introduced to the students. The class was mostly based on ICT.

Students were really excited to enact a play based on "The Nightingale and the Rose".  I used the role play model of teaching for dealing with the topic. I began a new story  "A Day In the country written by Anton Chekhov, on 7th December 2018.

                                                          On December 3rd 2018, an exhibition namely " Brain Rain Expo 2018, Thunders of Thought" was conducted by the Higher secondary department of the school.

        

On December 4th an awareness class was conducted by the Narcotics Team of Police Against Drug abuse.

REPORT OF INNOVATIVE WORK

WEEKLY REFLECTION (NOV 26 - NOV 29)

This week also i dealt with "The Nightingale and the Rose".The student were very much curious to know about the development of the story and effectively took part in all the group activity i have given to them. I used flashcards, ppt (slides) for making the class more effective. I concluded  the story "The Nightingale and the Rose " on November 29.

                                        During November 26th, as a part of celebrating " The constitutional day" , a small speech was given by the headmaster.

WEEKLY REFLECTION (NOV 19 - NOV 24 )

This week i began with teaching the second stanza of the poem "First showers". i used power point presentation for dealing with the poem. students also interacted well. i concluded the poem on that day and started a new story on the next day. The name of the story is "The Nightingale and the rose" written by oscar wilde. i continued the story for the rest of the days too. Along with coursebook, i used chart, ppt for taking the classes.

  on 21st November 2018 a programme namely " FUTURE EXPO 2030 " was conducted by the social science club members of the school.

WEEKLY REFLECTION ( NOV 7 - NOV 16 )

 As a part of our B.Ed. curriculum we,the students of fathima memorial training college, pallimukku, were sent to different schools for the second school internship programme. Our team consisted of five members, in which three of us were from the english option. we were assigned to practice at Mayyanad H.S.S.

                            November 7 2018 was the beginning of the second school internship programme. our team reached the school at 9.15 am and met the headmaster of the school and handed over the attendance register. He gave us some instructions and we went to a staff room assigned for B.Ed. trainees.

           I was assigned to take classes for 8th A, which is an English medium class. on the  first day, i started the class by beginning the fourth unit ( Flowers & showers) . I introduced the titular picture and continued the classes.

                       A very sad incident occurred in our school on the first week of our teaching practice. one of the teacher in the school namely, Ms bindu passed away. The school  declared holiday due to her sudden  demise on November 8 2018.

                                       A poem namely " Song of the flower " by khalil gibran  was started on the next day. i taught the poem using power point presentation. on 13th november i concluded the poem. and the next days i dealt with the portion "metaphor". i also started another poem "First showers" written by  Nalini sharma on 16th November .  Children's day also came in  during the week, the headmaster of the school wished every students during the assembly. A programme called "Malyayala thilakkam " was started on 16th november, for the students who were not able to read or write malayalam properly. The classes were handled by malayalam teachers.
